My boyfriend has wanted to get an sti test
for a while which I support, but now he
wants me to get one too. It's a little
nerve racking though I don't know why.
Have any of you ever gotten one done?
What do you do?

I got them done when I started a new
relationship, cause u just never know as
well had them done during both
pregnancy's
all they do is a bloodtest, now when I get
my pap smear done dr just check to make
sure there is nothing abnormal as well I
get results if they find anything on my
pap results which hasnt happened yet.
Don't be freaked out its nothing big to
get tested but if you do end up having
something seek support/counselling and
down here you do have have to notify your
previous partner. Most of the time ppl
freak out and they dont have anything its
called paranoia and affects the majority
of us!!

It's always a good idea to get tested.
It's not painful at all and it's a great
feeling to know that you're okay.

i just went and got tested last week but I
will not get my results for another 3
weeks.All they do is take blood.I am
scared too and happy that i'm not the only
one who freaks out.I freaked out last time
too but it came out good,just chill out!

I think this is very important and
consider it necessary. I was 61 when I
got with my current lady and we were
tested. The hiv test took 3 months of
test to be sure. We were certain that
there wasn't a problem and made our sex
life much more enjoyable.
Some women I had been with were really
pissed that I suggested having a test.
They thought I was suggesting they were
dirty, I always volunteered to be tested,
too.
Don't be offensive if your guy / girl
suggest getting tested. Remember, safe
sex. Get tested.........
