First Movements? Posted: 03-20-06 18:25pm
I am now 17 weeks 2 days (super exciting
for me!).
I've read throughout all of my pregnancy
books that usually you will be able to
first start feeling 'quickening' between
16-20 weeks, but I know that varies.
What I was wondering was when did all of
you fine ladies actually feel the baby
move (like it was a distinct movement)
when it was your first child?
And also, at this point in my pregnancy, I
still worry from time to time about
miscarriage. Is that normal?
All response would be fantasticcc!

I was about 17 weeks when I felt the first
movement...Hold on girl...It's coming!! I
promise!!
Now about being worried, I was scared up
until yesterday!! Lol...I'm now 34.3
weeks and just now getting over my
paranoia that something was going to
happen...I don't wanna say "for sure" that
everything is going to go great....But if
something hasn't happened yet, you'll be
fine!! If you are concerned about
anything, just call your .Drs office and
talk to the front desk....They can tell
you just as much as the .Dr can!!
Good .Luck!!
Sarah
p.S....Try laying totally on your back for
a couple of minutes and anything you feel
move below your b. Button,(if it's not
followed by a fart or a burp), is your
angel!!

When I was preggers I would lay on my
belly to feel really slight movement. Of
course after awhile laying on the belly
becomes impossible physically.

Lol...Yea, I had to stop that at about 3
months!!! Grrr....I'm glad that my brain
has coped with me sleeping on my side!!
Sleeping on my back is out of the question
because of the pain!!!
Now it seels I only feel her when i'm
standing up or laying on my side...Me and
my fiance always try to guess what body
part she's trying to poke out of my
belly!!! I'm waiting to see the imprint
of a hand or something!!!
