"after cholecystokinin, teh gallbladder
contracted somewhat poorly with a maximum
ejection rate of 28%. This is below the
criterion of 35% and is indicative of some
component of gallbladder dysfunction"
great...I'm not going crazy....All this
pain is not my imagination!...But...
What does it mean???

Don't you just hate that when the doctors
don't tell you in plain english what
something means?
It sounds like your gall bladder isn't
functioning the way its supposed to. I
don't know if theres medication they can
give you to help it perform better or if
they need to do surgery. Hopefully if
its surgery its planned and you have time
to get things worked out at home so you
can get some few days off work for it.

I'm all for the idea of having a few days
off work!
Seriously though...I do have an
appointment with a surgeon on march
31st...Hopefully they will tell me exactly
what it means! I really don't have any
problems with the idea of surgery...Take
the darn thing out if it's not working,
and let's move on....Take my appendix and
tonsils too...Don't need those!

It means it isn't acting the way it ought
to. The gallbladder contracts when it
empties. If the contractions are poor
and your ejection fraction is low, it
means that your gallbladder isn't moving
the way a healthy one should and it isn't
emptying its contents normally either.
Your surgeon will be able to tell you if
that is enough to justify having it
removed.
