I have had a very bad chest cold for about two weeks. I was having trouble breathing and was coughing and sneezing a lot. I went to the doctor and was prescribed a z pack of anti biotics. After the five days I began to cough up a lot of mucus. Now my left side and chest are very sore. I coughed once and heard a popping sound, then the pain got worse. Just wondering what is going on. Thanks

Gross But It Helps Read Thouroghly
All I can say is drink alot of orange juice oh yeah you can try this it is really gross but my sister did it and it helped her when she had a cold it is all natural take some chicken skin with the fat( you may have to buy a leg quarter for this) and fry it without oil take the oil it makes and put it in a glass then take some honey and mix it and take a tablespoon full it may make you throw up but that is the point to loosen up the phlegm off your chest and take the other and make soup drink the broth it helps too

good luck swallowing Wink Wink

I had the same cough and went on the z pack. 7 days later I ended up in l&d with preterm labor (i was 32 wks at the time) come to find out the zpack did nothing, I had pneumonia and ended up on augmentin. It took about 7 days of that before I started feeling better. Please see the Dr. Again. Maybe you need more antiobiotics. I am not a big meds person but pneumonia is a pretty serious thing.

A very natural remedy that works extremely well is to put really hot water in a cup. Put two tablespoons of honey in the water. Mix very well and then squirt two squirts of lemon juice and mix it all together. Drink that 2 or more times a day. It should work really well.
