If you don't use first morning urine, is it likely that you would get a false negative hpt at 12 weeks? I don't think the test was wrong, but i'm still curious if I should buy another to be extra sure....

A false negative would be more common in the first week. By twelve weeks, the test should have picked it up. If you are concerned because you haven't started your period, you should go to a clinic and get a blood pregnancy test.

I went through what seems like implantation bleeding just before my period all the way until it would usely end. That was last friday. I took a hpt yesterday evening but it came back a bfn. I really don't know what to think right now. It's 50/50. I would be happy either way, but more happy to have my baby. This waiting period is driving me mental. I'm going to test tomorrow morning.

did you actually bleed? Are you sure it wasn't your period?

Af was expected on 3/10/06, however on 3/8/06 I went to the bathroom and wiped and it was light pink, so I thought af came early (which is weird), nothing more. The next day it was little heavier but still light. From 3/10/06 through 3/16/06 it was very light brown spotting each day, not enough to wear a pad, usually when I wiped. Right now I really don't know what is what! :?

Maybe you could get a blood pregnancy test. That is definitive.

most definitely!!! I just moved back to ny so I just have to find a good doctor that will take my insurance.

I haven't missed a period, i've actually had 4 haha, but one was really early but normal flow...One regular...One light...And this most recent one was normal flow but short by 2 days. This is driving me nuts, but honestly, I would be 13 weeks now and I tested last week, and there was no faint line, nothing, totally negative. However, I am an avid coffee drinking so im worried my urine was massively diluted...But still by 12 weeks I think it would have picked up something, or am I wrong?

I highly doubt you'd be pregnant - but if you are still concerned you should go to a doctor. Good luck.

.Ok some women actually get breakthrough bleeding all throughout their pregnancies at the time they would have gotten their periods. Some women bleed the entire pregnancy without stopping. And that's all considered normal, as long as the rest of the pregnancy is ok. But some people do miss the signs of pregnancy because they bleed the 1st month or 2.

It's possible that's happening with you, and your hcg levels are just too low. You should get a blood test from the dr if you haven't already, and if you would be 12 weeks then a u/s could find a sac and heartbeat if there's a baby there.

ok, but 4 periods? I'd say that with negative tests says she's definitely not pregnant.

.Yes, you're probably right. Either way.O.P you need to get to the dr for some tests. A blood test will give you a definitive answer either way, but .I'm also leaning towards thinking you're not pregnant.

i would think not pregnant as well - but you are obviously having some concern over it, or why keep thinking on it for 3 months? 4 months? If you were 4 month pregnant you'd more than likely have a whole ton of symptoms other than missed period.

Go to a doctor and he/she can help you. Good luck.

i'm wondering why she thinks she's pregnant too. But, the fact remains that many women think they're having a "period" and they turn out to be pregnant. However, the periods combined with the neg hpt leads one to believe that indeed, *best maury povich voice* you are n.O.T the mommy!! Lol

Its not entirely definite that you aren't pregnant. I was raped and missed 2 periods. I took a hpt and it came back negative. I then have had bleeding each month when my period is due. Then I noticed a weight gain alot later on, and went to the docs and they confirmed I was pregnant yet my hpt's were all still negative. I haven't had any symptoms apart form feeling tired, so it is possible. But my case is actually very very very rare, so I do doubt that you are. But go to the docs just in case.

I'm actually 20, I have no idea why I am still going on like this. I mean 4 periods and a negative hpt at 13 weeks? I think it's just a result of my current situation in life....I am going through a very, very tough time. And here is the best part, in which you guys will probably want to punch me in the face, but the event in which I think the "pregnancy" resulted from....I don't even think we had sex. I was pretty intoxicated (so stupid, I know I know I know), and from my recollection we didn't even have sex, not as in like the pull-out method, but no penetration at all. I know you can still get pregnant without penetration but very unlikely. And even if we did have sex, which i'm pretty sure we didnt, I think its safe to say after 4 periods i'm not pregnant. Also, I have been through other much riskier sexual encounters especially when I was younger, like you would have thought I was practically begging to get pregnant. And I have never freaked out like this. Ever. I seriously feel like I am insane. I really don't get it?? Since I am going through a pretty hard time right now, and I have had some pretty messed up things happen to me, I guess I feel like the worst case thing would happen to me, so I think i'm just expecting this. I think i'm just still thinking this because of stress, and also I have no insurance so I can't really go to the doctor. I don't know, I just read stuff about like women never showing positive on hpts and getting regular periods all 9 months, and I guess i'm just worried that I would have a really unhealthy baby, seeing as how I couldn't get prenatal care since I can't even afford a blood test at the doctor, and I am very underweight and generally unhealthy. I've had off and on symptoms, but no obvious ones like morning sickness...Etc. I really have no one to talk about this to and I guess I just need advice/support.
