Hi, im a 15 year old male and im kind of
concerned right now. Well, very concerned
considering the fact that I am definately
a hypochondriac.
About a week ago I pulled a muscle in my
neck (i dont think this has anything to do
with it) but this is when I then noticed a
little lump under my neck. Most likely a
swollen lymph node. I told my mom about
it and she didnt seem concerned and said
it happens to everyone. Maybe I was
fighting off an infection. But I wasnt
sick, and im still not sick. And when I
lean my head down I can feel it a little
more and another very tiny one. Of course
the thing that has been running through my
mind has been cancer. I had expressed my
worries to my mom and said that I would
most likely have other symptoms, and the
fact that about a month ago I had
bloodwork. This lump has not gotten any
bigger, and im not exactly sure how long
ive had it because I think the fact that I
started feeling in my neck when I pulled a
muscle is when I first noticed it, and of
course has been poking at it constantly
seeing if its getting any bigger. It
seems as if it may flucuate in size?
Please, somebody help me. I have no idea
what this is :'(

1. I think at your age, with puberty and
all, lumps can be common. I had a couple
when I was a teen under my nipples, came
and went.
2. I am 40 now and found a lump on my
hip, just under the skin and it is
moveable. My doctor said it is something
called a lipoma (fatty tissue), that is
not cancerous.
If in doubt, get it checked out, that's
what I say.
