Not An Illness Posted: 03-23-06 09:47am
I wouldn't class it as a disease or
illness. It's just a difficulty in
learning and when caught early can be
helped. There are adult and children
programs to help improve this difficulty.
I had dyslexia, went to occupational
therapist, speech pathologist and so
forth. My best subject ended up english
and I may have had to work a little bit
harder but that was my choice and now I
have landed my dream job. It doesn't make
anyone with the difficulty anyway
different. Some people aren't great at
sport and eventually learn, I had
difficulty in literacy and learnt how to
overcome that.

Good for you! You learned to work with a
"condition" or disability and came out a
winner. :)
too bad the people with the "condition" of
ignorance cannot learn how to use their
brains.
