What can Help Ease my Feelings of Depression and Lethargy? Posted: 03-23-06 12:30pm
i've been on anti-depressants for 15
months called seroxat 20mg for the paniac
attacks and mild depression but i keep
falling back into my usual ways having hot
flushes, missed periods, rubbish sex
drive, mood swings, mild anxiety, piling on
the pounds and feeling lethargic. i do
unfortunatly smoke again after having
given up for several years and probably
drink a little more than the suggested
units. i only work part-time in a stress
free job and have two children who are
aged 16 mth and 5yrs. i would like to
change my life style but cant seem to find
the will power or energy to do so. please
could you give me a little advice on what
could be making me feel like this.
thanx
It seems that you are suffering from a
neurotic psychiatric disorder. It is hard
to explain how neurotic disorders occur
and develop but they are probably
conditioned by endogenous and exogenous
(environmental) reasons. Unfortunately,
there is not magic pill to take that will
make you feel better; depression and
lethragy are very common symptoms of the
human condition. You can seek expert help
from a mental health professional to talk
about how you can adopt a healthier
lifestlye and begin making changes.
Additionally, you might consider joining a
group of like-minded adults who experience
the same feelings...you are not alone.
Group psycho-therapy has helped many
people understand better who they
are...both as individuals and in
relationship to others.
