They'll basically just take youre vitals (like everytime.)

then the .Dr, or technician, will come in and drape your legs and start looking at your angel!! They normally start with the measurmnets. Then they start having fun and taking lots of pictures. (this is at least what my .Dr did!!) ask him/her if you can have acouple of copies to give to your parents and boyfriends parents. They'll prob. Be glad too!!

No u didnt type in spanish but wat is like vitals and all all? I didnt think they looked in between ur legs? Thot it was just putting gel on the stomach and then they get to see the baby.
My doctor told me they dont tell u the results of the babys gender until 20 weeks. And im going at 18 weeks. So I dno, thats what he told me. I thot that was kinda odd tho.

Vitals is your heart rate and blood pressure. Don't you get those every time you go to the doctor? You get weighed and he measures your belly, right?

At your ultrasound, you'll mostly lay on the table while they put the wand on your stomach (and this is where you'll wish so bad that you could just go pee!!). You'll get to see your baby. It's perfectly normal to cry. At 18 weeks there is a good chance you could find out the gender. And you'll go home with some pictures.

At the ultrasound they will look at your little skoot thru the abdomin...Sometimes they will do a vag probe. I dont' like those, they dont' hurt just kinda uncomfortable. They normally do those during the first few months.

In your case they will use the little thingy..Not sure what it's called...And measure the head, heart, arms and legs. They will look closely at the spine and heart rate. Just kinda make sure that the baby is developing correctly.

They told me at 18 weeks what my baby was. So maybe you will know at your visit.

But it's really fun to get your first look at your little skoot. I love to have them done. Have fun and let us know how it turns out...Bring a vhs tape so that if they can tape it if they have the capability.

My .Drs office makes me pee as soon as I go to the back. They do a couple of tests on it before I go into the room.

At 18 weeks I don't think that they will be looking at the baby thru your vagaina, they will do an abdomin scan, so I don't think you will have to be worried about being half naked in front of anyone. They normally just have you unbutton your pants and they tuck a clothe into your pants to keep the jell off of them.

I think there is one around 32 weeks unless you are having complications or they find something wrong with this u/s. It also depends on how many your insurance will allow. Some only allow 1 or 2 if the pregnancy is going properly. They will let you know at your visit.

I dunno. I know that I had one at around 20-22 weeks. My next one is in mid april which is week 34 for me. So sometime in the home stretch, maybe? Last month to month and a half?

They are so fun, believe me, my skoot was just flipping and spinning around that the tech couldn't get a doppler reading of her heart. It was too funny. She did finally get it. But hopefully you should get the sex of the baby. That is the most fun part of it all.

They will measure the heart, head, arms and legs, they will take a heart doppler, and look at the spine and just make sure the baby is developing correctly. Then they should take some pictures and stuff like that. So that you can have some. I love the pictures. But the tech told me right away what I was having. And I was only 18 weeks along.

Oh wow thats so awesome!! Iv looked at other people's ultrasound photos on here and I cant really see :s like, cant make the baby out, I guess once I see mine ill have the eye for it hehe. I hope they tell me, even the my doc. Told me they wouldn't till 20 weeks and mail it to me, maybe its the law or something :s I dont know , cuz I live in bc canada, but I hope I find out!! Then once I do ill let u know wat it is!!!! Lol hehe.
