I did until I found out I was pregnant. But not heavily, compared to many. A pack lasted me 2-3 days.

I smoked when I was eleven-thirteen, my cousin wouldn't let me go near her baby and I saw how much it was hurting my family so I quit. The patch didn't help - mainly you have to have a reason to quit. A baby is the best one there is, in my opinion. But you have to want to quit for yourself too.

Thats strange since ther are so many health risks. I understand you are cranky from not having one recently but the fact that you are carrying another life should be enough to quit no matter how sh*tty u feel fo a little while.

nicotine is a drug (if you smoke alot) they actually recommend to try cutting down but not to quit cold turkey cause it give your body a hefty jolt(withdrawal, same as anything else) can actually be more dangerous for the baby. It is different for for everyone though dani, people who smoke very light there bodies may not notice the difference, im not encouraging this girl to smoke though I will never ever do that I never gave smokes to anyone for that reason.

Anyways she nees to talk to her dr is she is willing to start up for no reason then she is making a stupid decision but we cant judge if we dont know her predicament, I had serious issues and had to deal with one at a time and unfortunatly dr saw smoking as the lesser evil at that time.

no i'm sorry you missed understood I meant i'm gonna smoke again until my child is atleast 3 weeks. But honestly i'm trying to quit for my child's sake cuz I know it won't be good for the baby eventhough I don't plan to smoke around my child.

I smoked in my last pregnancy.. I had to cut down tho but my doc told me not to quit. After danica was about a year old, I quit. Its still hard on me (bout 6 months later) and I slip every now and then but I went on the patch and I thought the patch did wonders!

(lol) it's alright. I was typing so fast that I wasn't very clear. My bad what I was trying to say was I am not going smoke while i'm pregnant. I don't plan to smoke again until after I have my baby. But hopefully I will be able to quit all together very soon. Lol

if you're going to quit for the duration of your pregnancy, why would you start again after the baby is born? Why don't you just stick with and consider yourself a non-smoker? I quit when I found out I was pregnant and there is no way i'll take it up again.

unfortunately, a lot of people go back. Either because of stress or because other people close to them smoke or just because they want something back that is just theirs. Personally, cigarette smoke now makes me sick since i've stopped. And I know that if I were to try and smoke a cigarette, it would just make me feel crappy. It's odd... I don't miss smoking, but I miss being able to smoke. Lol. *shrug*

i understand what you're saying but it is really hard for me but I am definetly going to try to quit for good. I know this is no exuse but I have been going trough a lot and smoking has kinda always been an outlet for me but like I said that's a stupid excuse. I really am trying to quit.
