Right I need some advice....I'm about
4weeks pregnant and iv'e had two
bleeds, after the 1st bleed my hcg hormone
only went up by 50%...The second testing
showed it had doubled which is great
news...That was 2days ago and I went for
another scan today but she still couldn't
see anything...Can the scan pick up babys
or the sacks when your less than
6weeks???One of the nurses said it
couldn't....I'm having no pain and I am
showing signs of an early pregnany but i'm
petrified and panicking to death that it
might be an ectopic pregnancy...Please
help to reasure me...I will hear later on
tonight about 8:00 if my hormone has
doubled again or not...I bet it
hasn't...Please help me.

I have never been pregnant, but my friend
is high risk pregnancy, and she got a u/s
at 5 weeks. I seen the pic and it was
just a little sac, very small. Maybe the
equipment they were using could not pick
it up. If the nurse told you they can't
I would listen to her. Don't panic hun.
I'm sure everything will work out. Good
luck. Keep us posted!

Ive heard they cant pick up the baby until
at least 6 weeks...
How come you had one that early? Was it
because of the bleeds? Sorry for asking
but im week 7 and not had one, ive been
lead to believe you dont have ultrasounds
until weeks 8-12 (and I notice youre from
england too so know it isnt a foreign
thing!!)

Hello Sweatlee Posted: 03-28-06 13:24pm
Yes I have been scanned 3times because im
on the high risk pregnancy system...As of
the bleeds...I have had 3bleeds now and I
am going through this 3rd one now since
two days ago....Im having period pain as
well with this one and the blood is fresh
and red (not brown). They can not see
anything in my womb but I am havng another
scan on friday as they have to scan me
every week, due to the high risk
factor....All I have done through out the
time of being pregnant is sob as I just no
this is ectopic.....Im so devastated and
worried theres not words to describe how m

I had two regular periods with both of my
living children, I was put on high risk
the first child born weighed 10 lbs
2ounces, their is always a 50% chancce of
anything happening in any pregnancy, just
do your best in trying not to stress
because it does not help and I do know
that iti is easier said than done. If
things do happen negativeky, it is not
your fault! You can not think of what
if I would have would have, could have
should have done things differntly.
Thins haapen for reasons, and we do not
always know why. I too have lost. We
are here ffor you if you need us!
The best to you!

I'm so petrified of it being ectopic and
killing me aswell...I no thats selfish but
im so scared to die through this....I just
no its an ectopic pregnancy as no one can
see him.....I no im too early yet...But
one nurse sais they wont see him untill im
6weeks and the other sais they should be
seeing something by now.I keep bleeding
and im having period pain...What can I
do...The staff are so unhelpful and rude
and they make me feel as though im
waisting there time.

First, calm down. Being stressed doesn't
help you are the baby. Second, many women
experience bleeding throughout their
pregnancy (especially early on) and have
otherwise easy pregnancies, and healthy
kids. The cramps you are feeling are
probably just your uterus stretching.
Remember that your doctor will know a lot
more about your situation than any of us.
Trust them, and be sure to get a second
opinion if you are still scared.

I've had an ectopic pregnancy. I spotted
a day when I was 4 weeks but they said it
was normal. And when I was 6 weeks pregnant
I started to have really bad cramping to
the point I couldn't sleep or move for
like a whole week straight but I thought
i't was common during early pregnancy.Plus
I didn't want to think it was that
serious. But then 2 weeks later I
suddenly bled bright red blood when I went
to go use the bathroom. And I started
feeling really lightheaded.But then the
bleeding stopped so I went to the hospital
the next day.
They gave me an u/s and couldn't see the
baby. They draw blood from me and they
said my hcg level was really high . They
woulda seen the baby ...But the wierd
thing was they saw some blood in my
stomach. So I had to go through surgery
right away. I had to abort the baby in
order so I wouldn't bleed to death. Now
they said it's kinda harder for me to
concieve again because one of my tubes is
damaged.Kinda still sad about because I
was looking foward for this baby to come
into this world.
But best wishes to you I hope you wouldn't
have to go through what I had to go
through...

I've Been There Too . . . . Posted: 04-11-06 06:28am
Just wanted to say, I know exactly how you
feel and i'm sure right now all you want
is to be left alone! However, when I read
what you'd been through, I just had to
contact you.
I've had two miscarriages, one at 10 weeks
and one at 6 weeks. No words of comfort
are available and it feels like your heart
is breaking, despite however good your
family or friends are.
All I can say is it will get better in
time.
I'm now pregnant again - 8 weeks, but i've
just had some spotting of old blood, i'm
currently terrified, waiting to see if
anything should develop to ruin my chances
again. But I had to get in touch, to say
I am thinking of you.
