Is Red and Purple Nose a Case of Rosacea? Posted: 03-25-06 12:07pm
I've had this red or purplish nose for
about a year now. i had a bad case of acne
as a kid and also still have some to this
day.Could this be a case of rosacea or
some other condition.
It is hard to diagnose the skin on your
nose without seeing it. Rosacea affects
the nose, especially in men. Rosacea
first exhibits redness, then develops
enlarged capillaries (teleangiectasies),
and finally vesicles become filled with
pus. Men can develop an ugly nose
formation due to hyperplasia of the
sebaceous glands . You can visit a
dermatologist who can help you further.
