Symptoms of a Mild Anxiety - Chest Pain And Light Headed Posted: 03-26-06 22:40pm
Looking to see if anyone is in the same
boat as myself. Let me explain...
I suffer from anxiety caused by cronic
chest pain and the light headed, loss of
balance feeling.
The chest pain is sporatic and comes and
goes mostly while resting. I can be
sitting or laying and I feel small
pressure the size of your finger through
different parts of the chest. Lasts from
a few seconds to a min or so. I also
sometimes feel weight on my chest for
maybe 1/2 hour or so.
The light headed and/or loss of balance
seems to come mostly when i`m interacting
with someone or a group of people. It
also happens sometimes when i`m with my
family outside of our home ie: visiting,
shopping.
I have never really had a panic attack or
freak out. I sometimes feel weird, like I
may be going crazy or something but I
figure that is probably because I worry
about having a heart problem from the
chest pain.
Anyway, just wondering if anyone shares
these symptoms.
Thx

I have similar chest pain issues. Some
mornings I wake up and there's so much
pressure on my chest I can't take a deep
breath. It'll take an hour or so for the
pain to go away.
Other times during the day I get mild
chest pain, like you describe, not
covering a large area, but it quickly goes
away, but comes and goes.
I know that I worry excessivly about heart
attacks, stroke, etc when I feel that
pain, and just like you have to ward off
the start of an attack.
