I've just heard that drinking tap water,
particularly city tap, is bad for you and
the baby and can cause miscarriage. Does
anybody know if this is true? I'd never
heard about this before.

I'm not positive, but I really don't think
so. I mean, i've acutally heard tap water
is better than bottled water because it
has more nutrients. Also, I drink tap
water all the time. I do have a filter on
my faucet, but that's all, and it's only
really because I think it tastes better
that way.
My theory is this: people are going to
tell you a lot of things are "bad" for you
and/or baby. The trick is staying away
from what's really bad (smoking, drinking,
sucking on a salt shaker, eating a bloody
steak) and doing the other stuff in
moderation. Let's face it, you can't
expect a pregnant woman to not eat ice
cream or cake. But you can't stress about
every little thing.
Good luck!

Thanks lalee! I was kind of worried
because I drink tap water all the time.
And I completely agree with you about the
ice cream, even if you aren't pregnant.
How can anyone be expected to not eat ice
cream! :d
i didn't really think that it was bad for
you, but then again, you never know! I
completely agree that sorting the really
bad for you stuff from what isn't really
bad for you from what's just an old wive's
tale can be a little difficult.
