Q: I Heard the Heartbeat!

I had my first appointment today and I was freaking out. When I got there they put me in the same room I was in when I found out my baby had no heartbeat at 13 weeks. Then they left me in there by myself for like 15 minutes and I was on the verge of tears just by being in that room. It was total deja vu and I was beyond nervous. Finally the doctor saw me and he examined me and said i'm measuring exactly how I should be for 9 weeks 1 day and that it would be too early to hear the heartbeat but he'd try if I wanted him to. Well of course I wanted him to! After moving the doppler around for like 3 seconds he found it! 175 beats per minute, which he said is good and he said after hearing that the chance of something bad happening is slim. Oh, I am so relieved. I cried when I heard it, it was so beautiful. I am so happy! Now I can relax a little!

It's amazing isn't it?!?!?! I was alone when I first heard it and I wanted to describe it perfectly to my .Fiance!!! It's just soooo crazy that you don't feel anything but there really is something living in your belly!!

I can't wait until you can feel the first kick!!!! Talk about over joyous!!(not sure if it's a word..If not..It should be!!)

congratulations!!
