Help & Advice Greatly Appreciated Posted: 03-30-06 10:52am
I recently did a pregnancy test and it was
positive plus i'm 9 weeks late for my
period so good news. However went to the
docs and she wasnt helpful at all. Just
said to come back in 4 weeks to make sure
I havent slipped through the system. She
didnt do any tests, blood pressure, test
to confirm pregnancy or anything. Is this
normal?

That is not normal..Especially if you dont
have pre-natal vitamin
+ she didn't talk to you at all? Is this
your pcp?
Did you go to the doctors to set up an
appt. And did she give you a date to go
back and get started with everything you
need to know??!! Or was the reason you
went to the doc because you were letting
them know you got pregnant because you had
previously told them you were ttc?
Anyways it sounds fishy. They should not
have sent you away and told you to call
another time?

I did make an appointment with her.
Friends of mine have told me to take folic
acid so I have been each day. The problem
I have is I live in a small town so the
other doctors wont take me cause i'm
already registered with her. We wernt
ttc, it was a surprise and I suppose I
just wanted her to confirm it for me or
tell me abit of what to expect. Anyway
will just have to go back and try again I
suppose. Thanks for the help at least I
know i'm not being over sensitive.
