first I started a drug called metformin three times a day (once with every meal) then I was given a form of birth control to help regulate me. Other drugs can be used but as far as I know, metformin is what is used most often. My sister uses it too.

I don't know about insurance covering it since I live in canada. But as far as I know it's not overly expensive. My advice would be to go see ur doc to see what he/she has to say and suggest. Good luck!

I Have Pcos Also.
If this is what you have a really good treatment is diabetic meds such as metforman and actos. The problem is caused by an insulin resistance problem. Those meds will not mess with your sugar but will regulate the insulin in your body. Actually actos had a disclaimer that said you will become fertle, consult doctor as soon as period is missed.

PCOS after first child is born?
I am being tested for PCOS - we are trying to have a second child and it is not working - the doc thinks it might be PCOS - is it possible to develop it after having a child?
