Tubal Ligation, Has Anyone Been Through It? Posted: 03-30-06 21:19pm
Yeah , hi its almost time for me to decide
weather or not I want the pill, iud or
other contraceptive options. I was
thinking about having my tubes tied.. I
will be giving birth shortly and was
wondering do they do the procedure while
you are in the hospital or we I need to go
back once I have the baby? Please
advice. Thanks

If you are very sure about having your
tubes tied and you just happen to have a
c-section then yes they do do it right
then but I dont know about a vaginal
birth.

With this pregnancy it will make my family
complete with 3 girls. My husband and I
decided that that would be enough for us.
I do know that with c-section it is
easier to proform the tubal ligation. I
want someone to tell me if they have had a
vaginal birth and then a tubal ligation.
What is the protocol?

I had my tubes tied the day after I had my
son(vaginal). The only thing I had a
problem with was pain. I had the
incision under my bellybutton an I guess I
wasnt expecting it to be that bad. Other
then that i'm glad I did it, no more
worring about birth control, wooohoooo.
Good luck with your decision an with the
new baby, take care.

I happen to have my last by c-section and
since they were in there---they did my
tubal then. So if you happen to have a
c-section(hoping you dont) if they know,
you want it, they will do it then.

They did mine the day after my daughter
was born (vaginal). I got an infection
though and had to go back to the er a few
days later cuz I couldn't move without
wanting to scream. Just be sure its what
you want! =p
