Q: How Serious Can Lifting Be?

Hey all,
i just wanted to know if anyone knows how serious lifting/bending can be in your 4 months of pregnancy? Also, if anyone experienced or still does at this stage any minor soreness in their belly area? I have a slight soreness that comes and goes, but I don't know if that's from the lifting/bending or from my ligaments stretching and causing this minor pain. Any advice will be helpful thanks!

Pains...
I'm not positive, but I think .Drs don't like lifting because of the strain it puts on your groin area. We're supposed to save those types of strains until delivery. Lol...

It's hard to tell what the pain is from when you're doing things that could essentially be the source. When is your next .Dr's appt? When you go just explain to him exactly what type of lifing you're doing and the pains you're having and see what he/she says.

Let us know!!

I had pains that early that turned out to be round ligament pains. But the lifting/stretching they really don't want you to do because of the potential for injury (you are more prone to injury when preggo). I pulled an ab muscle fairly early on and had to spend a day and a half in the bed. It sucked. Trust me, you don't want to pull anything, just say no to lifting!!

Hey sarah,
thanks for the fast reply!
Well I do alot of carrying and bending and lifting so I common sense tells me this probably is the reason. Right? Duh lol...But I just wanted to know if pain can also be caused by doing this or if it shouldn't have much of an impact to cause me pain. I'm going to my doc on the 17th i'll make sure to ask. Hey another little question is it normal to throw little pieces of tissue when you urine.. (i am not talking about tissue paper.) when I seem to pee my urine sometimes comes out with a small tissue like material..(not alot to worry, but just a little like the size of your pinkey nail) I don't know if sex can cause that as well? Can it? Or could it be the lifting/bending/carrying?

Since i've conceived i've had ovulation like discharge. It normally happens after I potty, but it does it throughout the day as well. It looked like I was blowing my nose in my panties. Now that i'm less than a month away from my due date, i've been experiencing "booger" like chunks in my panties. There is no blood or anything so I have to wait until my .Dr appt to ask.

Are you asking because your pee is cloudy??
Do these flakes, or pieces of tissue, have blood in them?

I take prenatals so my urine usually looks pretty clear. I'm not sure what it would mean if it were cloudy.

What I am sure about is your secretions increase due to the increase of blood flow.

I would jot that down on your list of things to ask your .Dr. I'm sure these are questions he/she gets everyday!! Lol

let us know what they say!!

i think that I know what you mean but i'm not 100% sure. I know that when I go sometime I see white floating things, in my case it's simply discharge. But hey, sarah gave you the best advice, ask your doc!

Does it happen more after you have sex, or just sporatically? Does your man cum in you?? It could be that just being released into your urine. It would sink to the bottom to the toilet and could be any size.

Hate to ask such a personal question...Just trying to rule it out as a possibility.

Hey All,
Getting back to the message, yes he does cum in me so I think that could be it. I am in my 24th week now and things pretty much has cleared up for me. Like I said I did ask my doc, he said it was normal as long as I didn't have any blood. Now my belly is getting bigger and I am feeling way better. Thank god!!!! Thanks to all you who has helped me out!
