Maternity Clothes At 19 Weeks? Posted: 04-03-06 16:55pm
I am just so excited that I am prego! I
am heading into my sixth week here soon
and I am just so excited! I have my
first doc appt. On april 27th and I will
be about 9 weeks then. I just have a
question for you all..... I am going to a
wedding on july 15th..... I will be about
19 weeks, and the bride asked that I pass
out programs and bubbles, but she also
asked that I make sure to be "dressed
appropriately", she showed me what she
would like me to wear and I need to order
it soon for it to be here in time.... My
question is do you all think that by week
19 I will already be wearing maternity
clothes? How do I know what size dress to
buy? And should I get it in maternity
stlye? (the bridal shop offers maternity)

Lol! I am a bit overweight, but not
alot... You know what I mean? Like i'm
not considered "plus size" or anything
like that but I am definately not my ideal
weight you know? I am about 5'5'' and my
waist size as of today is about 38''

Should I order maternity? Or should I
order the same size I normally wear (about
a 12)? I'm just so confused since I have
to order it 8 weeks in advance! You know?
I just don't know how much i'll be
showing *so confused*

I don't think you'll need maternity..But
maybe just order a size or two bigger than
normal...How long do they say for
shipping? Maybe wait if you can and see
if anythings started in a couple weeks..
Have you looked for similar dresssed in
stores around where you live (instead of
internet)...Since you're not part of the
wedding party (ie bridesmaid) you
shouldn't have to wear an exact dress..So
maybe look for stores with similar style
dresses
just an idea...

so you think I should definately get
maternity? I agree, big is better than
small... I have to order it next week
b/c it takes about 4- 5 weeks for delivery
and I have to allow for time to alter it
and stuff ya know? How do maternity
sizes run? If i'm wearing a 12 now, do I
order a size 12 maternity?
I would get a different dress but the
bride wants me to match with the other
"usher girl" so I have to go with the one
she chose (she is really picky, she has
spent like 20,000 dollars on this
wedding!! Ridiculous I know)

She is nuts I know... The only reason I
agreed to do this is b/c it's my husband's
cousin who's marrying this girl and my
husband and his cousin are really
close......And yeah that's a good idea.
Maybe they've dealt with a situation like
this before... Hmmmm

This is a little different but my best
friend got married din january she had to
order her dress 12 weeks in advance well
she was pregnant with twins so its hard
decision, we were told by the lady in the
bridal shop, order big its easier to take
a dress in last minute then it will be if
the dress is to small. By 19 weeks I was
in maternity cloths, and I was over weight
to start, I think by 14weeks my pants were
to small and I only ganed 6 lbs.
