a Slightly Urgent Problem. -help- Posted: 04-04-06 21:13pm
Hi. I have a doctor's appointment
tomorrow but I wanted to know if there's
anything I can do now.
For the past few days my penis has had a
rather dull buring pain on the very tip,
the very tip is slightly swollen and red,
right near the end of the urethra.
Can anyone tell me what this is?

Nobody has any idea? It's fairly red and
inflamed, although i'm not sure what the
tip of a healthy penis looks like. My
doctor prescribed some anti-bacterial
cream but it doesnt seem to work.

You may have a urinary tract infenction,
and a bacterial creme alone will not get
rid of it. You need oral medication,
twice a day, for 2 weeks. (that's the
average) a urinary tract infection is not
harmful, although it can be irritating.
It goes away easily, and there is nothing
to be alarmed about. To help keep them
away, try drinking a glass of cranberry
juice each day, washing your penis glands
carefully, and lowering your sugar intake
during the day. Some people are simply
prone to them. Just try making those
simple modifications, and you'll be fine.
