Can you help me read an MRI Report?

I have had lower back pain, pain in my left hip that goes down my leg since I had my child in Jan. I had x-rays and a MRI done I have been told two different things can you please tell me what my MRI means.


Minimal dextroscoliotic curvature.
Slightly accentuated lumbar lordosis with borderline increased lumbosacral angel.
there is a small central disc protrusion L4-5 effacing the CSF and abutting the thecal sac.

Your MRI-report indicates that the cause of the back, hip and leg pain you are experiencing is vertebral disk degeneration or discus hernia. You can try using physical therapy and painkillers to help manage discomfort. If it doesn’t help, surgery may be needed.
