Hi, just a post to get the word out here
because the mistake is commonly made.
Many people who get mono mistakenly
believe afterwards that they have "chronic
ebv." this is rare, and in most cases,
for some odd reason, the virus sets off
hypoglyecmia in the body. If you find
yourself extremely tired, depressed,
anxious, confused, and a host of other
symptoms that don't seem to relate to the
virus, make sure to have a gtt done so you
can rule out hypoglycemia. I got it
after a mono infection hit my liver and it
took two years to figure out why I was
still feeling bad after the virus was
gone. If you find you do have this,
come over to our forum. Otherwise, to
give some advice, I found that eating
plain yogurt with l.Acidophilus and
drinking freshly squeezed lemon juice
mixed with 1-2 cups of water did wonders
for getting through the infection.

Dear stan
i have mono for 7 weeks. It doesn't seem
to go away.I can't go to work and I feel
horrible! I did a blood test to find out
about mono. What are the symptoms of
hypoglekemia? Also, given that the fact
that I had a blood test, shouldn't it
showed on my results that I have
hypoglykemia?
Thank you in advance

No, it won't show anything. You have to
be tested specifically for hypoglycemia.
Just for everyone to know, it's simply the
opposite of diabetes, except that you
can't have sugar ever again, though that
seems contradictory. The symptoms are so
numerous unfortunately that it's
impossible to give a full list. If you
have it though you'll notice the same set
of say 8-10 symptoms cycling. You may be
extremely depressed one day, anxious the
next, delusion the next, fine for two,
then really tired and so forth. It
cycles, but it can mimic pretty much every
psychiatric disorder out there as well as
create a host of odd symptoms like choking
sensations, swollen throat, swollen lymph
nodes, musclar twitching, slurred speech
and so forth.

Dear stan
tnanks a lot with your reply. My mono
symptoms is that I get tired very
easily... If I push myself too much I
feel like fainting, I am extremely
dehydrated even though I drink about a
gallon or liquids everyday and push myself
to eat as much as possible.. Since eating
gives me energy for a while. I have seen
my doctor 3 times and she believes that is
all due to mono. I have been diagnose for
7 weeks now. During the 3-4 first weeks I
had fever and headaches but they gone
away. Are my symptoms normal? Is there
any medication I take to get better.
Thanks a lot for your time and attention.

If you have mono which can show up on a
blood test(ebv) their is outpatient iv
treatments you can receive weekly, I had
them, you really should check with your dr
as I am no drbut I do believe that their
are tests for both along with chronic
fatigue syndrome.
Good luck!
Keep us posted.

Dear sandyallen
i had general check-up and everything is
ok. But I has tested positive for
ebv. Since I am not familiar, are the iv
treatmetn tests for checking your mono
condition or is something else. Can I
take them from a drugstore or do I need a
doctors prescription? Also, did you had
mopno too? I am 28 year old made. I have
been told that the older you are the
longer it takes to get better.
Thanks a lot
