Late Period..any Suggestions Would Be Much Appreciated. Posted: 04-10-06 07:14am
Hi everyone,
i was just wondering if any of you can
give me some advise/suggestions about my
following situation  . My partner
and I are ttc. I am normally regular in
my cycle, the first day of my last period
was on the 28.02.06 and lasted for 5 days.
The next one was supposed to be due
around the 1st of march but nothing yet.
I am almost 10 days late and all the
pregnancy tests i've done so far are
negative :( . I don't have distinctive
early symptoms but am suffering from
frequent headache and mild abdominal
cramps....And have kind of white/brown
odourless vaginal discharge  . Has
anyone been in similar situation, and is
there any possibility that despite the
negative tests, I could still be pg?
Thanks for any help on this matter :)
Yeah there is still a chnce that you are
pregnant, the only sure way to find out if
your pregnant is to go to your doctor and
get a blood test most at home pregnancy
tests can't detect the pregnancy hormone
hcg as well as the blood test can.

Hi,
thanks for your reply.I went to see the
doctor the other day and was told that I
need to do a smear test in order to know
whether there's any infection. He did a
pregnancy test but was still negative, so
he officially ruled out any possibility
that I could be pregnant and put me on
antibiotic because of the lower abdominal
pain I was having...Possible pelvic
inflammation according to him. To be
honest, I would have preferred to have a
blood test done just to be on the safe
side:( but he didn't think it was
necessary.
