Hello I have been trying to research if procardia (nifedical xl) 30 mg twice a day is harmful to a pregancy. I am currently 13 weeks and I would love to know if this medication is harmful to the pregancy. Is there any other options that are available to decrease the blood pressure?

Talk to your ob-gyn doctor. He has all the information for you. He can even provide supporting info and websites to visit. If you are 13 weeks along, ask at your next appointment or call him if it concerns you that much.

Your peace of mind is more at this stage of pregnancy is most important.

Good luck, let us know what you have.
