Diapers?

I tried looking this up at wal-mart.Com but they don't list disposable diapers. How much do diapers generally go for? Specifically pampers, but any brand will do. And how many do you get in a package for the price?

Thanks in advance! Just trying to do some budget planning.

I know huggies run about $10-$12 per pack and they start out with 40 in the pack. The price stays the same but as your baby gets bigger the less diapers come in a pack, check out cosco or sams club if you can, it's a great item to buy in bulk.

this is an excellent idea to plan ahead. Go to pampers.Com, huggies.Com, etc and get on their mailing list for coupons! Also do the same with formula.

When I was pregnant, I bought diapers every payday so I was pretty stocked up by the time baby came. I figured it would be one less thing to buy when she got here.

I get pampers and I think it's around 10 bucks.

I havent had to buy diapers cuz I got sooo many at my shower...
But from costco I think it was.. I got a huge box diapers with 248 in it.. Half size ones and half size 2's.. N ot sure how much they are but im sure it works out cheaper.

Also, im going with parents choice formula and diapers (wal-mart brand) cuz they work just as good and are cheaper... But get on the mailing list it is a good idea, u get tons of free samples

Have you considered a diaper service with cloth diapers? Most likely it will cost you less or about the same as paper/plastic/chemicals on the baby's behind, and it's way better for the baby and the environment.

Diaper service is really nice-they bring you your diapers once a week, and pick up the dirties that you just put in a diaper pantry with a plastic bag inside. You don't have to rinse them or anything, and the diapers are very clean, soft, and much better for baby's skin.

Diaper rashes are almost nonexistent if you also breastfeed instead of formula. And breastfeeding does a bunch of good things-1) it feeds your baby exactly what is needed, changing over time, and including any immunities that you have, 2) it makes the two of you very close and cuddly-even helping with your hormonal recovery from the birth, 3) it's a whole lot less stressful for those middle of the night feedings-instead of having a screaming baby while you mess with a bottle and warm it, etc, you plop your breast in baby's mouth and go back to sleep. Takes awhile to get the hang of it-maybe a couple of weeks-but it's sooooo worth it!

Blessings,

My mother in law is set to give birth anyday but at her last two baby showers I made her diaper cakes. The diapers at walmart were all between $7 - $12. I ended up buying pamper's swaddlers and those were nearly $11 with tax for a package of 48.

Also, I didn't buy her any of the smallest sized diapers because I figured they were for premature babies but should I break down and get one package of the smaller sized diapers just in case?
Peace,
jenn

Well as it turns out my fiance can get diapers through his work (he works at a hospital). They're pampers brand and it'll be $20 for a case of 240. That sounds like a bargain, I think. He just showed me a list of things he can get and it looks like I can get everything the baby will need except formula.
