Pregnancy And the Mini Pill????? Posted: 04-11-06 06:58am
I was wondering if you still get a 28 day
cycle while on the mini pill.. I had them
always on the combo pill, so I was
thinking it would be the same. I am just
trying to figure out the question I had
about how to tell if you are preggy but on
the mini pill. I had a spotting/period
starting on march 9th and then I got
another spotting/period (old blood both
times) on march 31st. And that would have
been a week early for my normal cycle.
Today should have been the second day of
my period, but it isn't here. I had sex
several time in the month of march (hey, I
got married what you expect!!) and then
again twice so far this month. So I
don't know if maybe I hit the jack pot and
got pregnant finally or what. I am
thinking last week maybe could have been
implantation bleeding (i am soo
optimistic..Lol). If so could I test
now??? I would love any replys,

What's the mini pill? And why are you
taking birth control if you want to get
pregnant? Take a test if you're late.

The mini pill is a progestin only pill, I
am taking it because I have adenomyosis
and my periods were too painful and verry
heavy at times, and I started getting sick
on the combo pill... But I was also put
on the mini pill to help me have more
chances to ovulate and possiably get
pregnant with out completely coming off
hormones. But what the mini pill does is
make you spot or have a light breakthrough
period and I am not sure when to test
cause I cant remember when my last real
period was while on the combo pill so I am
trying to figure out when to test, cause
my cycle is different.. I know this
sounds confusing, that is why I needed
opinions... I don't want to waste any
more money on hpt's if I don't have to..
But I am thinking if I don't get af by
thursday, I will either call my Dr. And
make an appt or take a test... I just
don't know when to start the count of when
I could have gotten pg if I am, so I know
if I am testing too early, ya know??
