Pre-menopausal And Body Hair Problem Posted: 04-13-06 12:29pm
Hi.....I know that im going throught the
stages of pre-menopause, on and off ..Mood
swings, hot flashes, dry skin, and yes
going crasy.....But I have not heard
anyone talk about body hair. Now I have
always had hairy arms and legs ,it runs in
my family but the facial hair is whats
bothering me the most. Im 43 and I find
that my facial hair is getting longer,
have never shaved or plucked except
eyebrows before , the hair is noticable
under my nose and chin/neck area,,ive
tried bleaching but I get a rash. Im
afraid of waxing or shaving because it
might get darker and I might have more
hair to deal with...Any suggestion would
be appreciated. Also I wanted to mention
that the hotflashes I would get were the
type that you would feel your face on fire
and I now have problems with rosacia, I
tried soy products but it keeps my thyroid
level to low, anything else I can use that
is safe and natural.
Thanks.....

I dont even want to think about hormone
replacements........Im very sure that I
have plenty of progesterone...So im told.
Its accepting the natural course of
having the body go through stages. I was
hoping for someone to tell me a way that
is easiest to remove facial hair.
Hormone replacements is someting I fear so
its not on my list of options.
Thanks anyway,

tweezers
are a wonderful invention. What I do for
the longer ones, is periodically I get a
scissors and clip the hairs as close to my
skin as possible. For the longer ones, I
use tweezers. Most times, after plucking
the same hair out for two or three times,
that particular hair does not come back.
Good luck!

I felt the same way that you gals do
before I started using Sally Hansen wax
strips.I assure you it does not come back
thicker. In fact, everytime you wax it lasts
longer and comes in FINER.I don't like the
hot wax that you heat up.The strips are so
simple, all you do is use them.I promise
that you all will love the results.Have
fun.
