Q: Traveling In 3rd Trimester?

I don't know if anybody can really answer this... Maybe just guess, but I was wondering about something.

I'm due aug. 30. My sister-in-law is due july 4. I keep forgetting to ask my doctor about this, but do you think i'll be able to go see my sister-in-law when her baby comes? She lives about 3 1/2 hours away, and I know that we would have to stop for me to get out of a sitting position every hour or so.

Funny thing is that the thought of not being able to be there to see her new baby really freaks me out. Lol. I will be so mad if I can't go. : /

I think that as long as everything is going good with your preganancy, I don't see why not. There is at least about 6 weeks between the time you deliver and 3.5 hours isnt' very long. I sit at work longer than that every day.

hey I was 5 hours away from home the weekend before my due date..Lol..Just talk to your doctor see what he/she has to say ..Then do what you want/is best for you and the baby!!

lol I know I cut off the "what is best for the baby" part, but it's for effect... Reading this part just made me laugh. Lol

I was high risk (cause of high blood pressure) and at 36 weeks I drove to boston with my mom for my cousins graduation, I was about a 2 1/2 hr drive. My doctor said not to do a lot of walking and to take an easy. I went and it was fine, you will be what 32-34 weeks then it should be ok. Good luck to both of you!
