the Patch

I was on the shot for 2 years and stopped getting my period. I love not having my period. A month and a half ago I switched from the shot to the patch. I have not had a period in so long and I really dont want one so on my week 4 (where I should go patch free for my period) I applied a new patch. I plan to keep applying patches every week to avoid getting my period, is this safe?

Oh yes, it is perfectly safe to skip periods while on birth control, because technically you do not even need a period because the pill stunts the growth of thew uterine lining too. A "period" week is added to make the pill seem more natural back in the day..

It is safe, but especially on ortho evra it is important not to smoke :)

I dont think that many people know that you can safely do that. It was the only reason I went on the shot at the beginning, but I guess the pill and patch can skip periods without harm when taken continuously. Thanks for your help :d
