Normal Gall Bladder Why Am I Still In Pain? Posted: 04-19-06 18:06pm
Hi all
this site has stopped me going crazy!
Seriously I am so worried I am having
panic attacks! I have been having g/b
problems since jan 2006. I work in the
theatre department and in work one day
after eating cauliflower cheese I was in
agony. Spoke to the gi doc who I was
working with and almost immediately he
whisked me down for a scan. During the
scan the sonography hung around my gall
bladder, she was talking to normally and
then asked me to turn onto my side. It
was then she found I had a polyp.
I was quite nervous and I think this
showed in my voice when we spoke. She
swiftly whisked the scanner over my
splean, kidneys and pancreas and confirm
all seemed normal (no enlargement).
4 weeks later I went for a hida scan which
was a painless procedure-just boring :?
1hr 40min had to lie still for!!! I was
so nervous my legs couldnt stop shaking.
Had the results today unofficially from my
consultants secretary saying my hida scan
was normal. But I know something is just
not right,
i have got a bit of wind both directions
 and some pain around my ribs and
bowel ish(right side) I got a bad feeling
my g/b is inflammed and is agrivating
other parts of my anatomy.
I have been on a low fat diet which did
work----then pushed my luck and ate
lasagne and chips---woke up at 2 in the
morning being sick until everypart of the
meal was down the toilet(nothing had been
digested)
will mention though that my mum has had
h.Pylori.... Could this cause g/b
problems aswell?
Do polyps cause pain?
Will stress agrivate g/b?
And do oestrogen patches for menstrual
migraines have an effect?(also started
this in dec 05)
i just want my g/b out now-im fed up
tired
ignorance is bliss when you work in
theatre (i even assist the doctors during
this g/b removal!!) but im too much of a
scardy cat to ask questions!! Just listen
to their conversation-- put 2 and 2
together and come up with 5. My mind is
working over time!
Please help
many thanx all.....
I wait for your replies
