My doctor listened to me and let me tell
him what was going on in my life. I also
explained to him how it was difficult to
make simple decisions. It was also hard
to sort things out in my mind without
being down on myself and whatever I was
doing. He looks for certain signs, which
are different for everyone.
He started my out on a low dosage of an
antidepressant and had a recheck in three
months. At that time he increased the
dosage, and rechecked again in another
three months.
It worked.

A good indication is your level of
motivation for doing things. Generally if
you lack motivation for anything you may
have depression...

I was diagnosed with depression even
though everything in my life was fine. I
only went to the doctor because I had
blood shot eyes, was not motivated to do
anything and couldn't keep my eyes open.
I was put on lexapro for a year and had to
up the doseage because I started getting
the symptoms again. I don't know whether
this helped me or whether my doctor was
too quick to stick me on a new trial pack
of the drug. I do yoga now and take time
out.

Well first off I had to fill out this
paper that asked me questions. Then she
asked me how I was feeling and questions
concerning the issue.
