Late Period No Sex

Hi, there are many many reasons why periods can be irregular. You may be stressed, may have been sick recently, gained or lost weight, had an accident or just plain old "they didn't come".

Not everyone is like clockwork all the time. I wouldn't worry. However, when you restart if there's lots of pain with your periods and very heavy bleeding, and it's with every period go to your gp and talk about it.

Hope this helps to give your some peace of mind.

I agree. There are many different reasons. If your not sexually active than its really nothing to worry about.

Ok things to take into consideration.
Age? If you are under 19 or over 45 it is common for periods to simply not show up occassionally.

Weight? If you have recently lost or gained a lot of weight this can have an effect on your periods.

Exercise? If you follow a very tough exercise regime your periods can stop for a while - many female athletes find this occuring.

Stress? This can cause periods to disappear for a while.

Illness? Meds? How long before your last known period since you were sexually active?

Other things like not ovulatating can also affect your periods, this can have natural causes or can be related to sexually transmitted diseases like chlamydia which often has no symptoms or pelvic inflammatory disease, that has gone untreated.
