As my due date approaches, im getting
nervous and curious...And im wondering
what most commonly begins labor- breaking
of water or contractions. I know everyone
is different, but how did it happen for
you guys?

I went to bed on the 14th of march feeling
no different then any other day, and I
woke up at 3:40ish with contractions...I
was at the hospital about 4:30ish...And as
I was walking into the hospital my water
broke. It just depends. Some peoples
waters break and contractions never start,
or visa versa.

My little sister was laying on my bed
talking to me and she started to have
'cramps' then they turned into
contractions. Her plug came out and then
her water broke at school(before the
contractions started) but she never told
anyone.

I just keep hoping that, if my water does
break on its own before I go to the
hospital, it doesn't happen at work or
anything like that. Lol

Mine started with contractions. My water
didn't break until I was 7cm. I thought I
was having braxton hicks, but it was the
real thing!! I didn't leave my house
until my contractions were 2/3 mins.
Apart and I couldn't speak during
them...
I didn't have an epidural or any pain
meds...I'm not gonna lie, it hurt like a
mother!!!! But it was all worth it when
she came out. To feel that is like
nothing else in the world!! I would
definately recommend it!
My hospital let us record the whole birth,
so I can go back and look at it whenever!!
Good .Luck!

I had contractions first with my frist
child and the second my water broke and
then contractions, I will tell you you
will know when your amniotic bag has
ruptured omg I was sitting on the couch
stood up and splash lol!!
I went 100% natural with my first and had
gravol and abit of morpehine with the
second(they could only give me a small
dose cause I was due to deliver him any
time) the pain is bad but not that bad,
hard to explain but trust me we all
survive and if it was was so bad, people
wouldnt be giving birth.
I love the labour part I just hate the
screaming child part, I always got excited
about going into labour but I guess its
different for everyone, congrats and good
luck on everything.. Pm if you want
anymore info my 2 are both under 2 lol!

that's exactly how I look at it!! It was
the most amazing thing I could ever have
gone through. I'm really glad the
hospital let us record it!!
I plan on going natural for every birth I
go through!!! It gave me a total new
respect for the term labor!!!

want me to take pics until after the baby
was born but I got a few during it.Hey

I dont get when people want to film the
birth process. I mean do people actually
watch that? Like, hey kids, movie night!
Lets get some popcorn and watch you guys
come out of my vagina! ! Gross....I
could never watch that!

they would'nt allow us to get snatch
shots, just me pushing and her head and
body coming out.
I didn't have an epidural so the pain was
soo immense that I couldn't enjoy the
experience when she was coming out. So as
soon as it was over and they finished
recording her being suctioned I got to
actually sit back and watch the miracle of
her birth.
I wouldn't change it for the world and I
would never regret recording it. When
she's my age and pregnant i'll let her
watch it to give her the strength to do it
without pain meds as well.
