I had my period a little over a week ago,
since my period I thought that I had a uti
because of symtoms that I was having. I
had an odor that seemed to be stronger
instead of getting less. Then today when
I was going to the restroom an old tampon
was still in there. I do not know how I
could have forgotten it but yet there it
was. Should I go to the doctor or wait
or what should I do about this. I am
extremely embarassed and do not want to
even go to the doctor.

You are not the first.
I happened to me - I was right at the end
of my period and was sure I had removed my
tampax, but for some reason I couldn't put
the new one in. I got quite worried but
there was nothing I could do so I wore a
pad instead and deceided to try a bit
later.
Still wasn't happening and as it was the
last day decided i'd worry about it later
- ie next month. (kinda like if I pretend
its not happening it'll go away).
It was a couple days later that I realised
what had happened. I removed the tampax,
douched very gently with warm saline (salt
water) and that was the end of it.
If you notice an unusual discharge or
whatever though you may need antibiotics
to clear up any infection.
Don't be ashamed though because it is more
common than you would think.

Haha! I did the same thing kia, only I
did get the second one in...And then
wondered why I felt so bloated and
grose...The other one was jameb up there
and I just about had a heart attack when I
felt it...Because I wasn't 100% sure what
it was...It was a trick to get out...But
ya, I survived lol...But it was so grose..

Hi, if in any doubt pls ask your dr about
toxic shock caused from having a tampon
inserted for too long.

Trust me she would know if she had toxic
shock by now.
Toxic shock isn't slight and doesn't come
on slowly - if she had it she'd be in
hospital by now.
I did that once.I forgot I had one in
already and when I woke up the next day to
put another one in I realized it was still
there! Omg,i about had a cow
