I Have a Question And Need Advice Posted: 04-24-06 19:52pm
Ok my sister went to her doctor's
appointment today and found out that the
fetus is basically bouncing around in her
belly. I didnt get all the details but
her doctor said something like her uterus
is not attaching and so its like the baby
is bouncing around in there...He put her
on some pills that will hopefully work but
he's giving them a week to try out and if
it doesnt work quick enough then she is
left with the choice on whether she should
abort the baby or not...I guess the baby
if she continues isnt going to get the
things it needs...Nutrients or what
not...I am trying to find out what the
risks are or if anyone knows what I am
talking about...Im sure its not a ectopic
baby from what she described to my
spouse...I told her chances are if she
goes through with it and those meds arent
working that the baby could come out
either mentally challenged or missing
fingers or limbs even, a million things
could go wrong...The doctor even told her
one of the risks is that her or the baby
could die...I have nothing against
abortion when it comes to certain
things...And this is one of
them...Abnormal things...I am however
against it when its used as birth control
and such...But I think a situation like
this it's called for but I just wish I
could find out more information before she
makes up her mind...Don't even know what
it's called and her paperwork for it is in
her fiance's car and he's at work...Just
let me know if you know anything please?
Any info would be great! She has only a
week and I am only online until I go home
tomorrow so...

this is your sister's
decision to make, no one elses. And, it
is a decision to be made by your sister
with her own doctor's advice. Many women
decide to keep problem pregnancies, even
those that threaten their health or lives
for their own reasons. We hold our own
opinions but in the end it is her decision
alone to make. I am sorry I cannot give
you more information buy my advice to you
is to stay out of it and let her make her
own decision in concert with her doctor's
advice. You no doubt have her best
interests at heart but that does not mean
that she wants or needs your advice. The
only thing I would advise you to do is
support her because this will not be an
easy decision for her to make regardless
of what she decides.
Peace,
jenn

Thank you but just to clear my name hun
shes basically already decided which I
tried explaining. If the pills dont work
then shes going to abort and I was only
stating that I support her and she was
scared of me looking down on her for it
and I wont, I support it because I know
her and I know she isn't exactly prepared
(maturity wise mostly, kinda a party girl
and is pretty wild and has a hot temper)
and by that I mean is we were worried
about her having a normal healthy baby and
being able to handle it. Now were talking
abnormalities and that could mean a number
of things, mentally challenged, autism,
body not fully formed, etc. These are all
matters that would be way too much on her
I think to handle...But thank you for
noticing that I have her best interest at
heart...She is supposed to be calling me
tomorrow to let me know the name of what
it is and then I will post it to see if
anyone has further info on it because I
just want to know the stories of people
who did go on with giving birth and what
has happened. The statistics of her
surviving or the baby surviving and
such...P.S. Dont take it the wrong way
about me saying abnormalities or anything
thats just medical junk words...Me
personally I could handle a baby that
didn't come out like you or I compared to
my sister inlaw...Love her and all but I
don't think she could hack it...I'd end up
with the baby...It's a given...Mind you my
spouse and I have already told her if this
isn't right timing she could always give
the baby to us until it was...Id rather
the baby's emotional being be at heart
then to go through my sister's
tempertantrums and drama queen
stunts...And believe me she knows what
shes like lol...Ive almost gotten evicted
before because of her and she was scaring
my son...Shes not 100% emotionally
stable...Has had a hard life as my spouse
did...But we won't get into that...Just
crawp happens...This is about coping and
support and not venting right now...I just
really need to find out more for
her...Because kimmie is kinda a ditz and
doesn't understand her doctor...We've all
been there at times where you don't
understand what your doc is telling you
because of all the medical words they
use...Know what I mean...Sometimes its
like trying to read doctor's writing
heh...Anyways any info is much needed!
And appreciated!
