For the girl we are most likely going with trinity ashlyn mae (may spelled funny- after grandma) welch
unfortunately my cousin is having a girl and is maybe going with trinity. 2 trinity's within 5 months is no good!!

For the boy it was going to be brandon (after the daddy) matthew (after my very close cousin who died) welch. But his grandfather just died and he wants to name the boy after him, I think the name is toooo old fashioned (clyde)
now we have decided to use his grandfather's initials cag and name the baby cage. I haven't decided if we are going to go with brandon cage welch or just stick with it all brandon matthew cage welch. Its uncommon for boys to have 2 middle names but hey why not?! I like being different and for all I know i'll start a new trend! Lol

what do you guys think?!

I like brandon matthew better so I would go with the cage at the end instead of using it as a mid. Initial

I like the name brandon matthew also. Don't feel bad if want two middle names my son as two middle names one middle name is his fathers last name though, weird I know. So his whole name is matthieu hunter-dyess husley. Very weird but I like. Oh and something funny I just relised (sp?) brandon is my hubby to be's name and matthew is my sons name just spelled different. Ever since I had my son it seems like everyone is nameing there son matthew or there middle name...Sorry for rambling on...So congratualtions and I love the name.

There are a *zillion* baby jaydens (with various spellings), bradens (also with various spellings) now, so chances are his kindergarten teacher is going to be confused - not to mention the fact that naming your kid a "trendy" name labels him as having parents that jumped on a fad bandwagon. My oldest son had four "britannys" in his preschool class - ugh.

"trinity" screams "matrix fan" , or someone very religious (father, son, holy spirit - the holy trinity!)

i like family names or traditional names , nothing terrible common , but nothing outlandish. Picture your kid as a teen, and as an adult, and ask yourself if that name will still be appropriate.

my best friend is naming her kid "blaze"... I wanted to hit her. (no offense, .Jess.. :-p)

"blaise" (same pronunciation) is an old french name (think blaise pascal). I went to school with a guy named blaise, he was fun.

"blaze" is a name for a horse though, i'm sorry!

I bet someone else has probably said this already. But if the girl can have 3 names, why can't the boy?

Also, maybe turn something of the grandfather's (middle name, or initials maybe) into another girl name if your cousin is going to take .Trinity.

mae is really the nicest part of that name- i'd let my cousin have "trinity" if I were you. Eck.

As for the boy names- it is lovely to name a boy after his father, but in practicallity, it is a pain in the arse to have 2 people with the same name in the same house- trust me on this., if you want to carry on his fater's name, put it in the middle. Iagree with you about the clyde sitch though- but I think you could still use the name, jus change it a lil.
What about just "cly"without the "de" on the end?
Cly brandon welch,
and then, in honour of the cousin matthew- name your daughter a femanine variation- say...
Mattea mae welsh.

My daughter has two middle names- after each grandmother. It's no big deal, shey might want to steer clear of hyphenating surnames when she gets married though !!!
