For 3 years now I have experienced numbness on my right side. Primarily my right arma nd hand. I feel the numness during the day but most frequently at night. It begins with my middle finger then passes unto the ring finer then the pinkie. Lately, the numbness has intensified. There are times when the numbness has occured in my left arm and hand. For the last 48 hours I have continued soreness primarily on the right side in my middle finger joints . I did have a breast augmentation done three years ago but, Dr. Scott harris has stated that the two are not related. That I needed to see a neurologist. Family practioner says I need alternating heat and cold pads. What is it that I may be suffering?

I have applied moist heat to my back, I sleep on a heatting pad with my arm resting on a pillow. Is there any thing else I should do?

I don't know. But if I were you i'd get a second opinion or take the advice of the other doc that you mentioned and see a neurologist.
