What Is Your Progression? Posted: 04-27-06 11:57am
For anyone who started the diet, what was
your meal and snack interval?
Ever since I started teh high protein low
carb diet, my meal intervals got shorter,
I have to take a snack every hour. When I
had my high gi diet I was going 2 1/2
hours.
Have you guys started short intervals and
as you followed the diet your metabolism
changed and your snack/meal intervals
longer?

1 cup of brown rice, evenly spread through
out the day using 1 tsp each hour.

Nice, that's my plan eventually! I would
add some more carbohydrates to your diet,
you're too low. Is that all you're
getting? Be sure to check.

Yes, I checked the bag and it says, 34g of
carb per 1/4 cup.
So that would make it 136g of carb for 1
cup correct?

Ive been on about a 2-3 hrs snack or meal
schedule. Any longer and I would start to
feel a bit dizzy. But after been on the
diet for 4 monhts now iv'e started to
increase my time intervals and just today
I went 5 hours without eating, with no
troubles at all, during this time I went
for a 3hr surf wich really takes it out of
u as well.

Good job man, just be certain not to fall
into the trap of thinking you can eat
anything you want now or something like
that. Also stick with your current
eating routine.

Yeah theres no way i'll go back to my old
eating habits ever. Its just not worth
feeling bad for days at a time. For a few
months there I got so depressed with this
hypo I wouldnt leave the house thinking
i'd have an attack, I pretty much sat
inside a day geting really frustrated.
But once u have the eating routine worked
out theres nothing to fear, and now I find
myself keen to get out and do all the
things I used to love, like camping,
surfing, bushwalking and so on.
To everyone out there whose in that
depressed state I know how you feel, just
work through it and stick to the diet and
things will start to get better.

I just cut out sugar completely, I even
cut out pretty much all fruit
for breakfast I ate brown organic rice
flakers or puffs with lite milk.
Snacks I ate cheese celery and carrots,
lunch was always a home made salad with
chicken, other snacks were nuts, then for
dinner I always has fish with vegies or
chicken with vegies.
Just dont eat any sugar and you should
start to recover, while recovering you
will have a variety of symtoms that come
and go, some wich I am still getting, but
this is a sign that your getting better,
just stick with the diet.
