Ortho Lo Periods
Posted: 04-30-06 04:51am

I just started taking ortho tri cyclen lo and I have now started the placebo section and I was wondering when I should expect my period. I have been sexually active but I waited 7 days before having sex. I have already taken 2 of the placebos. I am really worried about a possible pregnancy and I was wondering if anyone could help me and tell me when I should be expecting my period within the placebos. Thanks so much!

when I was on yasmin I usually didnt get my period until three or four days into the placebo. This is because the medicine reduces the amount of days you have your period.

Maybe the same for yours? If you're really worried take an ept test :)

Very right! You see the period on birth control pills is not a regular period, you get it because your body no longer has the extra birth control hormones in it... So it usually takes many women 3-4 placebos beofre they will bleed..Mainly because your body needs to register that there are no more hormones in it.

Thanks carifairy and axeriex for the help, my period finally came and you two both relieved my worries and kept me sane as I waited for it to come. I wasn't sure how delayed my period was going to be on the placebos, because nothing I looked up said anything about that. Thanks again for the info!
