Can An 18 Yr Old Girl Be Unable to Have Babies???? Help! Posted: 04-30-06 21:08pm
Is it possible for a 18 yr old to be
unable to have babies? Ive been trying
since january and so far, nothing. Im
usually irregular but since I started
having intercourse with my boyfriend, ive
been having regular periods. I have
"gastridest" and my small right intestine
is not working properly. What is some of
the reasons a woman woldnt be able to have
babies. Has anyone been having this sort
of problems? Because im starting to get
worried. I want to have babies. And im
really scared. Can anyone help?

First of all, don't freak out. Yes, it's
possible for women to be unfertile at
18... It can be something that's true
from birth. But just because you haven't
gotten pregnant does not mean you're
infertile. Lots of women try for years
before they are able to get pregnant...
It can take a really long time for some,
not long for others. Heck, I had
unprotected sex for at least two years
before I got pregnant.
I'm sure it can be frustrating, but maybe
you should talk to a doctor about family
planning? They can help you calculate
your fertile periods and also check out
you and your husband/fiance/boyfriend to
hopefully ease your mind about something
being wrong.
Good luck!

Thanks alot. Well, my b/f has talked to a
doctor when he went for a regular check up
and they told him that is unusual for a
young guy to be unable to have babies
especially at his age. At his age, its
most likely he can get a girl pregnant.
Maybe its me. But the thing is that none
of my family members have a history of
being unable to have babies. And im going
to go check up on that one of these days
with my doctor. Thanks alot! That calmed
me down. Thanks!

I hope that its just bad timing!!! I hope
its nothing worse. And thats what we have
decided to do. If it happens, it happens
when it has to happen. We'll just enjoy
it now. And thats what we have been doing
and have forgotten about trying to get
pregnant. I just hope that its not that I
cant have babies. But maybe its the big
man up their who decides the right time
for us to have a baby. Like I said, I
just pray that it isent that I cant have
babies. That will kill me! :(
