Bad Anxiety Side Effect From Medication? Posted: 05-01-06 04:42am
I just had surgery wednesday and i'm on
500mg tabs of hydrocodone 2tabs every 4
hours.
As of last night i've been having
overwhelming feelings of anxiety/doom at
night I can't sleep and it makes me want
to cry. I keep drifting off and then I
wake up like a second later with that
over whelming feeling and it's just really
scary. I'm about to wake my parents up,
because i'm really freaked out.
I had issues with anxiety most of my life,
but nothing like this. :( i'm going to
stop taking my hydrocodone because I think
it's causing it but I don't know. I guess
i'll just have my mom call the doctors
office tomorrow and tell them :(
i can't stand this feeling :(

Hydrocodone Withdrawl Can Cause Anxiety... Posted: 06-23-06 02:20am
But it doesn't sound like that's what is
happening to you if you're following the
reccommended dosage. Anxiety is the
opposite of what hydrocodone is supposed
to do, normally it gives you a calming,
sedated feeling... There are issues with
generic hydro's vs. Brand names in what
types of fillers they use... Sometimes
generics have less of the active
ingredient than the brand names and have
been accused of causing withdrawls - which
could be what you're experiencing...
Watson's are the most common generics by
far - here's a chart I found of what they
supply (brand names) if you want to
compare your prescription to it... Could
help if you've changed pharmacies or
gotten a refill of a different type... Http://www.Explainingmedicine.Com/hy

good luck and I hope things work out for
you... :)
