I just had my baby 2/12 months ago and I haven't had a period! I am breastfeeding and I heard that when you breastfeed you don't have a period. Is that true??

My sister said that she started while breast feeding, she bled for a while after giving birth and she had her first period at 12 week pp and my mom didn't start her period until she stopped breast feeding at 5 months. So it veries I guess.

I bled after the birth with both of my kids an then didnt bleed till they were about 3 months an I breast fed till they were 1
