Hi, I was wondering if it was safe to be pregnant after a cesarean?? I just had a cesearan 7 months ago and haven't had my period in over a month now?? Havent taken a pregnancy test yet but i've been feeling sick and have had all the symptoms of being pregnant. My scar that I have from my cesearen has been really painful in the past week.... It feels like someone is stabbing me right where the scar is an is ripping me open from the inside and is so painful so i'm worried that if I am pregnant that my scar isn't healed and is opening??? Is that possible could that be the reason for the stabbing pain near the scar?? Thank you

That is one of my fears at the moment....Getting pregnant so soon after a c-section. Not that we don't want any more kids, but i'm so afraid of my scar opening up...I'm afraid of that happening now, let alone if I were to get pregnant again! My baby is 7 weeks and 2 days old. Last night was the first time we did the deed since she was born. I can't remember when it was before that. I was just not in the mood. And now even if I am in the mood, I worry about my scar opening up, and getting pregnant so soon. We wanted to wait until adriana was about 2 or 3 before trying again. Even tho we take steps to prevent pregnancy it's still always possible! So needless to say my poor hubby is just gonna have to wait. I am soooo cruel =)

That was my fear my scar opening.... My sister just recently had a c-section 8 months ago, she started working out and running a month ago and jumped into the bathtub and noticed she was bleeding, her scar opened a bit and her doctor told her she was doing to much to soon and put a butterfly bandaid on her cut to close it again.... Thats what scares me!!!

I had a c-section and the doctor told me to wait 1 year until trying to conceive again. It took us two years to get preggers after that. I was a little worried about the incision that I had splitting open. I have to have my baby early to keep me from going into labor because of the risk of splitting a vertical incision.

Takes a year to heal so I would test soon and find out if you are and see a doc for birthcontrol if you not ready for a nother baby yet..I had c-sections 10 years ago and I was told it took a year to heal since they cut 6 layer of skin.. Well good luck.. I have had 2 kids since then and thats the only c-sections I had to have since he was breach..
