I know some of you gals are having your m&ms soon but I thought I would make a suggestion. If you can and are not working try to see if you guys can get your first aid course cpr for infants I know it sounds abit farfetched but ill let you know why.

They say to put baby on back when sleeping and say that they wont choke is a bunch of caca cause both mine did and cam did last night and trust when you know what you are doing you dont panic as much!!!

I know I sound like some messed up person but I know what its like to be on the other side and not know how to help your kid.

That's a good idea jess, I was actually thinking about that because I am so scared of what can happen to my little m&m. Plus my husband had a scary incident once before and even though I stayed calm and managed to get help for him I wished at the time that I knew a little bit more about emergency first aid so I would at least know if there was anything that I could do to help him or make him more comfortable. As it was since I didn't know if I could do anything, I didn't. I don't want to feel helpless like that if something were to happen to the m&m. I saw a special on tv yesterday where a couple's baby died and they could have saved her life if they had known how to do infant cpr.

Your hubby's in the medical profession right? He's trained to do it? Or were you alone with cam when it happened? I'm sorry something that scary happened to you, but i'm glad that cam is okay.

I'd like to. Unfortunately, it will probably have to wait until after he's born. I barely have time to do anything right now. My bf does know baby cpr and such, though.

Tigres I was alone a few times but I had done the course when I was 18 so it helped, its just so doing it scary when it happens and they sit there and say oh your kid will never choke while sleeping on their back yeah bloody right!

yeah, I know about the back thing. It doesn't really make too much common sense to me. I would think it would be the same as a drunk person (only trying to say babies really have no control and can't roll over/move well enough). They always tell you never to leave a drunk person on their back bcuz of the risk of choking/suffocation from saliva/vomit. I don't know. I guess i'm just weird about things that seem counterintuitive even when the medical profession swears that they're right...
