My girlfriend was recently given the depo prevera shot. She was given the shot a day or so after her menstrual cycle. We had sex 10 hours after she was recieved the shot.......Could she get pregnant...Or does the shot enter the blood stream and is effective as soon as it was given...?....Im startin to get worried.. :?

Haha, thats so weird. I was told to get my shot within the first five days of my period...And no sooner or later than that. As well as I was told that its effective immediately. Which one of our nurses is lying?

Both of the docs are right, because I didn't have have mine as I got my period. I got mine six weeks after I gave birth and was on it for two years my biggest regret ever. So in reality they are both right.
