Ok, so I know it's pretty normal for
spotting to occur at some point during the
first few months of starting bc. But
after how many days should it just go
away? And what if it seems like it's all
old blood, not bright red like fresh
blood? Is that something to worry about?

Normal, normal, normal.
When I first started birth control for the
very first time, I took my first pill on
the first day of my period. I continued
to bleed all throughout the month... Not
really bleeding, just brown discharge.
My doctor said it was normal...
So if you experience spotting or
breakthrough bleedings at times inbtween
periods, its normal... Dont worry.

I took the pill last year to just skip
periods when I wanted them, as I was sick
of the pain and monthly headaches
accompanying them.
I took it on the first day of my period as
instructed, and the period was probably
the worst i've ever had. I felt so sick
and in so much pain. Usually i'm only in
pain for 1-2 days, but this was for 10
whole days. Then I continued to have
spotting every single day for the entire
time I was on the pill, which was 7 months
until I finally gave up in frustration and
disappointment.
So if people tell you it's normal to spot
for a whole month and it'll go away?
Well, it probably will but it might not.
Mine never did.
