With my first 2 kids the epidural gave me the shakes really bad . About a week after I had both babies is when the migrane headaches hits me and I was told its the after affects of the epidural. With my last child I had no problems with it

I think the shakes are actually from the hormones ragin through your body!!

I had the shakes really bad afterwards for about 10 mins. I didn't have an epidural so I know it's not from that in my case.

The pain can get bad but what is awesome is that its for under a day and its not like the pain when you have a limb cut off at least you get something out of it.

As for water breaking omg that is gross I felt it with my daughter actually felt like something popped inside me (this was during labor) with my son my water broke before labor and caca I leaked a fountain lol buy big big pads or put a towel underneath you lol!!

Its all different just like a persons pregnancy an epidural can effect everyone differently. I am choosing not to get one because it did slow my sisters first 2 labors down and then her 3rd she did with no epidural and it was alot faster. Also I saw a woman on the baby story who had one and after couldnt walk for 6 weeks because something went wrong. I know that my hospital wont let you take a bath untill the day after you have the baby unless u dont get and epidural and even if u dont they would rather you stay in bed and relax and rest.
I have been practicing and studying the bradley method so im pretty intune with going all natural... Mainly tho because I want to and everyone keeps telling me that I wont be able to do it.

That was my main motivation girl!!! I got to give everybody I knew the finger!!! Hahahah!!! It was great...Everyone's famous words were "watch, you'll see!!"

i didn't study anything or read up on anything I just did it. I wouldn't change it for the world!! If you have any questions about what it felt like or what I did, just holla.

They don't put gause in you, they just use them to wipe you while they stitch. Without an epidural, it's just more painful. They do numb you up, but you're so numb down there from the baby, that you don't feel the needles. I felt her stitch me, but I was to worried about my baby than the stiches!!
