Q: Missed Period

I just lost my virginity about 3 weeks ago and I was supposed to start my period around this past saturday. I went to the gynocologist on friday and they gave me a pregnancy test before writting me a prescription for the pill which came out negative but I still haven't started.. So now i'm about 6 days late and a girl told me she and a couple of her friends all skipped a period after losing their virginity so it's normal.. Is that true?

No, that has nothing to do with losing your virginty, it is hoesntly and completely false. You need to protect yourself if you do not want a baby. You could very well be pregnant and are just not showing a positive , some women show postive a little later. Take another test in a about 3 days and if still no period go back and get a blood test. Good luck

Are you taking the pill? If so, you might want to stop just in case you are pregnant.

didn't she say to start the .Sunday after your period starts?

It sounds to me like your period is just late. Unless you didn't use protection when you had sex. In which case, it could go either way. There is a possibility the pregnancy test would not have come up positive since your period wasn't even due yet. Take another test with first morning urine.

Good luck.

Ps. always make your partner wear a condom. always! It doesn't matter if you are on the pill. It doesn't matter how many or few sex partners he has had. No glove no love!
