This is my 3-4 month of being diagnosed
mononucleosis and my lymph nodes are still
big. I have many swollen ones (mostly in
neck and groin) and they're all painless,
though i'll occassionally get a dull pain
through the areas they're swollen. Some
of them are quite big while I have
pea-sized ones around the rest of the
areas. Over the time i've had mono I
haven't really had any symptoms other than
the lymph nodes and a swollen
liver/spleen. When I get a sore throat
it's hardly sore at all and it only lasts
a few hours/couple of days.
I'm also an extremely anxious person and
i'll go to the doctor practically every
month for check-ups because i'll think
i'll have some life-threatening disease.
My immune system is pretty good and i'm
immune to some diseases such as rubella
though I still have an anxiety problem.
Now i'm starting to think it's lymphoma
just because my lymph nodes are painless
and they're still swollen.
Can anyone give me some info on the lymph
nodes?

It is rare to have mono more than once-
did you have a blood test? Swollen lymph
nodes w/out pain are indicative of cancer
- but if your doctor has followed up with
blood work- he/she must think you are in
clear. If you have had mono it can take
several months for them to go back to
normal size. Hope you feel better!
